How to Reset TP link router? {Two easy method}

In this modern world, it is difficult to find anyone who is not using a router. While using a router some time we need to reset it to its factory default settings. You can Don’t know how to reset the Tp-link Router?  Don’t worry in this article, I am going to share simple 2 methods, by following these you can easily reset the Tp-link router.

You can reset it using two methods –

{Method-1} By pressing the RESET BUTTON or WPS BUTTON

  • First of all powered on the router
  • Now hold the WPS button or Reset button and push it for a minimum of 10 seconds till the SYS Led set off the quick flash to slow flash.
  • After that, you don’t need to press the button or doing any other activities and you can just wait for the router to reboot to its factory default settings.

{Method-2} Using router’s WEB-BASED utility

To use the Factory default function go to the management page You have to log in using Username and Password. In order to To log in you can put default IP Address, username and password. Notably the default Ipaddress is 192.168.1.1. By default username and password both are  “admin”. once you have logged in you are now on the management page.

  • From the left side menu go to system tools
  • Now from the drop-down menu select Factory Defaults
  • On the right side window, you will get a restore option
  • Click on the restore button to reset your wifi into factory default settings.

If you want to change the password you need to reset factory default and configure a new one.

How to reset admin password??

  • Open your browser and Go to 192.168.1.1
  • now provide your login details ( by default username and password both are  “admin”)
  • From the left side menu go to Access control
  • then select password
  • Now enter the old password and then provide the new password.
  • now click on save.
  • your wifi will restart to your new password.

How to reset wifi password?

  • Open your browser and Go to 192.168.1.1
  • now provide your login details ( by default username and password both are  “admin”)
  • From the left side menu go to wireless
  • and then select wireless security.
  • Find out WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
  • and fill the password box with the new password.
  • From the top of the page select save.
  • and then to confirm select OK.

The router will reboot itself. If not then go to system tools and then select reboot and then click on Ok or you can simply restart the router by using the power button.
