Hey, This is Derek Fry. I am a Designer. The heavy bag hanger is typically used for oversized, larger punching bags, but more commonly in the case of advanced training. This hanger specifically needs to be able to handle large amounts of force and impact on a repetitive basis due to high intensity workouts. By having the ability to not only hold a much larger bag, but heavier as well, it creates an environment for fighters to build up their power punches and endurance over time. Without the need for this type of training or a massive heavy bag these definitely aren’t essential.
