#2. Change Frequency to 2.4GHz


The frequency band of a router is the main cause of why your PS4 keeps disconnecting from WiFi.

As the frequency band is responsible for making a stable connection with devices in a certain range.

Of course, The two most important & frequency bands are 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

Your PS4 Only supports a 2.4GHz Frequency Band, so you have to change your router’s frequency band to 2.4GHz.

  • From the Primary DNS box you can enter – 8.8.8.8 value, and likewise the Secondary DNS box you can enter – 8.8.4.4 value
  • Then you can click on “Next”, In this MTU settings you can select Automatic selection
  • Choose Proxy Server – Do Not Use

Now, test your internet connection, if it’s working fine, and the problem is resolved, you can leave it as it is.

However, if it isn’t, you can set the DNS settings to automatic again just like they were before changing DNS.

#7. Set Up – Static IP Address (PS4)


Might be for your PS4, you are using a dynamic IP Address, it’s an automatic setting by default.

The problem with dynamic IP Addresses is when an internet service provider assigns you a new address or you reboot your router, your dynamic IP Address changes.

  • Now, click on Next > Automatic and then under Proxy Server, click Do not use, if you aren’t using any Proxy Server.

#8. Redesign – Gaming Setup


If anything isn’t solving your PS4 Disconnecting from WiFi problem, you can try changing your gaming setup.

Redesigning the gaming setup means restarting your router, PS4, or any device you’re using in your gaming setup. Also change the position of your router, if there is interference between your router and device, like metal or any wall close to the router.
